Conan the Cimmerian
The fourth game by Synergistic traces the adventures of well-known comic book hero Conan from his humble beginnings as a blacksmith. The World Builder engine, which has remained more or less the same for the previous 3 games, got a facelift in this game: the interface is more transparent, and the game world is now 3-D and much larger. Strategic elements, however, disappeared in favor of more adventure and RPG elements (e.g. more items and conversation choices). The result is a strong RPG that is not as genre-busting as its predecessors due to its heavy emphasis on combat sequences.

Mario Teaches Typing is a great program for training little kids to type, but anybody who wants to improve his or her typing skills, as it appears to adjust its difficulty to your typing expertise, can use this. You can select three different worlds to conquer by sheer virtue of your word processing power, a world on land with turtles much like world 1-1 in Super Mario Brothers, an underwater world where you get chased around by a big fish and a castle where strange creatures drop and crush you if you don't type fast enough. Empire 2 the art of war
Pretty much any strategy fan would say that Empire II - The Art of War is just another turn-based strategy game, and they are probably right. You move your soldiers, represented as squares with a little picture on them, around on a map and try to defeat your enemies. Units are generally divided into infantry, cavalry, or artillery, and you gain victory points for controlling roads and towns, or for defeating enemy units. You can change your units' formation to prepare them for combat or move them over long distances, and you can also order them to entrench themselves and gain a more defensive position. It's nothing any strategy game fan hasn't seen done before; strategy games like this aren't uncommon, and are most often seen in a Napoleonic or American Civil War setting Empire II comes with a number of scenarios that can be played against the computer or with a friend online or in person. Unlike most games in the genre, the scenarios don't focus on any one war; instead, well-known battles spanning over a thousand years are represented, including Waterloo, Cannae, Guadalcanal, Agincourt, and Antietam. Cannon fodder
The premise behind the game is simple : take control of a group of little men and send them round a variety of landscapes looking for other little men to blow up or shoot in the face. Each member of your team that survives a level is available for the next mission, thus making progress a little easier. Modern day equivalents to Cannon Fodder are probably the hundred or so real time strategy games around, but none of them can match Cannon Fodder's ingenious level design and delightful attention to detail. And you don't need a Pentium II to run it, either.
Disc
Disc is a fun futuristic sport game that is reminiscent of the Disc game in Bally Midway's Tron arcade game, one of my personal favorites. You can be played against the computer or another human player. The object is to throw a disc or discs at the other player and try to hit him with it, thus draining his life meter. Once the life meter is exhausted, the player dies. The fun is that you can also kill your opponent by disintegrating the tiles that comprise the platform he stands on, until he has nowhere left to stand and falls to his death. You do this by throwing disc at the wall behind your opponent's back.

Suddenly a car came to a rumbling halt near their meadow. Out rushed the driver Mr Cool and disappeared behind the nearest tree. This was the chance Dodge and Dash had been waiting for. They ran towards the road as fast as their legs could carry them and jumped over the fence. Dash took the wheel while Dodge buckled up in the passenger seat. Before Mr Cool had time to zip up, Dash already had his foot down on the accelerator. This was their chance to show every sheep in the district what they could do. With screeching tires they disappeared into the distance. It will only take Mr Cool a few minutes to report the theft of his pride and joy. Can you help Dodge and Dash finish their ride before their time is up?

In this game that follows in the footsteps of the world's mose famous fictional detective, Sherlock: The Riddle of the Crown Jewels, lets you play the role of Doctor Watson, Holmes' trusted companion. You have received an urgent summons from the Prime Minister that is, naturally, of national importance: the royal family's Crown Jewels have been stolen, and you have only 48 hours to solve the crime before the Golden Jubilee procession.
